Ed joined the United States Marine Corps at 17 years old and completed his career as a Sergeant. He was hired by the Social Security Administration under the Outstanding Scholar program as a T2 Claim Representative, moved to the Appeals section, became an Operations Supervisor, and ultimately the District Manager of one of the largest and third busiest offices in the country where he was responsible for up to 90 federal employees, serviced over two thousand customers a day, and managed several billion dollars of benefits. In his position he was able to bring his years of business experience to an often inflexible bureaucracy and improved processes and customer service winning numerous awards and eventually taking his show on the "virtual road" advising other District Offices across the country. Now he is back in the private sector and is on a mission to help those new to Social Security disability.
